Then don't force an answer. You can come in with a rough idea, a few references, a story, a feeling — or a phone full of screenshots that don't quite agree with each other.

You don't need a finished design
A consultation is a conversation, not an exam. Tell us what you like, what you don't like and why you want the tattoo.
We can help narrow down the style, size, placement and visual direction. The goal is to end up with something that makes sense for you, not something that simply fills a blank space on your body.
REFERENCES ARE USEFUL
References are useful
Bring anything that helps explain what you mean: tattoos, drawings, photographs, paintings, symbols, typography or even completely unrelated images.
You can show us what you like without asking us to copy another person's tattoo. We can use references to understand the direction and build something of your own.
PLACEMENT CHANGES THE DESIGN
Placement changes the design
A design that looks great on a sheet of paper may need to change when it meets an actual shoulder, forearm, calf, back or other body area.
That is where a tattoo artist's input matters. Scale, body movement, proportions and how the tattoo will be seen all affect the final design.
FREEHAND CAN BE THE RIGHT ANSWER
Freehand can be the right answer
Some ideas work better when they are drawn directly on the body. Our artists can create freehand tattoos on the client so the design follows the shape and movement of the body.
The drawing and consultation are free. You only pay when you decide to get the tattoo.
AND IF WE THINK THE IDEA NEEDS CHANGING?
And if we think the idea needs changing?
We'll tell you. A good consultation isn't about saying yes to everything. If a colour, size, placement or detail is likely to age badly or simply not work as a tattoo, we'd rather discuss it honestly.
